Mold Rx was founded after discovering there were not many options in the greater East Tennessee market for certified mold testing companies. We realized that many customers did not realize the difference between the test kits from the local home improvement stores and testing from a certified professional that specializes in the mold testing. After working in crawlspaces and basements for so many years and seeing mold growth in them, we knew that there was a need for our services.

Mold Rx specializes in mold testing for both residential and commercial buildings. We are unique in that we do not do any mold removal, which eliminates the potential conflicts of interest that have plagued our industry for many years. Mold Rx’s focus is to provide our clients with an unbiased, third party opinion so that they can move forward with confidence and security in the decisions they make.

For 37 years, Malinda has been around residential and commercial construction. From the age of five, her parents strapped her into the back seat of the family vehicle and took her with them to measure jobs for insulation in homes.

For the last 14 years, Malinda has worked in the construction field daily. Whether it is working with a builder, a home inspector, a damage restoration company, a mold remediation company – you name it. She’s comfortable working in a crawlspaces and basements, and knows the importance of the lower half of a home. Understanding the crawlspace and basement needs is what led to her providing Mold Rx services to her clients. She enjoys helping others, while providing a fair-priced service and, ultimately, giving them peace of mind.

In her free time, she enjoys going to the gym, to car shows, and being outdoors. She has been blessed with two children who motivate her daily to do the best at anything she pursues. Her favorite quote is “be the best version of yourself”.
